  Webster Technique

  Graston Technique

  These instruments separate and break down scar tissue that has accumulated in muscles, ligaments and tendons after an injury, even a minor one. Injuries cause decreased movement leading to acute or chronic pain and inflammation. After treatment, there is an increase in movement, cellular activity, fibroblastic activity (tissue that plays a critical role in wound healing) and an accelerated amount of blood flow to and from the area allowing the body to heal. Tissues begin to realign in the appropriate manner without knots or adhesions which will lead to decreased movement and elevate the risk of another injury.

  Cold Laser

  Cold Laser or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) refers to the modality of applying a "low" energy or "low level" laser to tissue that stimulates cellular processes and thereby enhances biochemical reactions normalizing their function. For example, studies show that cold laser increases ATP production in the mitochondria of the cell. This is what our body needs to give us energy and keep our cells working properly. Many theories about cold laser exist as to the mechanism of action for Low Level Lasers and infrared lasers. Simply put, photonic energy is absorbed by the photo acceptor sites on the cell membrane which trigger a secondary messenger to initiate a cascade of intracellular signals that initiate, inhibit or accelerate biological processes such as wound healing, inflammation, or pain management.
