Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonDr. Christopher A. Gurries is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, known for his ethical, compassionate, and individualized approach to patient care. A Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Gurries served in the U.S. Air Force at Travis AFB (CA) and Langley AFB (VA) and continues to serve in the Air Force Reserves. He completed his surgical residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, after graduating with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (San Francisco) and Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Dr. Gurries is a co-founder and co-director of the Golden State Study Club, fostering collaboration and continued learning among dental professionals. He is deeply committed to integrity and places high value on providing the standard of care he would want for his own family. Dr. Gurries’ expertise includes wisdom teeth removal, dental implants—including same-day/timely solutions—All-on-Four smile transformations, bone grafting, and comprehensive oral surgery. His philosophy is rooted in personalized, well-rounded care and open communication with patients and referring dentists. Outside the practice, Dr. Gurries enjoys life in San Francisco with his wife and three children, supporting local businesses and restaurants, and passionately cheering for Notre Dame.
