Laurel Heights Therapy is a private therapy practice located in San Francisco, just a stone's throw from the Presidio. It's owned by me, Renée Spencer. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 17 years of experience working in mental health. I'm trained in holistic psychotherapy, psychiatry as well as psychoanalysis - examining how thoughts and feelings just outside of your awareness can be holding you back. Whether you choose to see me for psychotherapy, couples therapy or psychoanalysis, you will benefit from my extensive training and experience. I see therapy as a natural response to life's pressures and challenges. I believe it's human to struggle and that we all can benefit from self-exploration. Everyone experiences anxieties, periods of feeling low, and stressful life events. Everyone needs to work at forming and maintaining close and meaningful relationships.
