Here is what Chez has to say about herself: "I found the love of pilates while in college pursuing a Kinesiology degree. I was also deep into hiphop, competing as a 'b-girl'. Pilates helped me condition and strengthen my body for the demands of dancing. It taught me body awareness and alignment. It also provided me with energy and a mental release from such an active and demanding lifestyle. After graduating, I found a corporate job, but continued to compete as well as practice Pilates and Yoga, until a major dance injury put me in crutches and physical therapy. Rehabilitation was a reawakening. My passion was to share the importance of movement and how vital it is to physical and mental health. I left my corporate job and here I am living in my passion. My Pilates foundation comes from training under Tom McCook at Center of Balance (Balance Body Program). My other training and experience includes rehabilitation, Yoga, TRX Suspension, Sculptworks and indoor cycling." We are super excited to have Chez join the SOMA Club Pilates team. Our students will love the positive energy and enthusiasm that is part of Chez's personality and which she brings to her instruction.
Sabina’s love of Pilates sparked in college. After hurting her left hip running, she found herself frustrated in her own body. It was fate that she came across the basic principles in a Pilates Mat video and has not looked back. The reformer has helped her rebuild her strength and continuously corrects her posture after stressful hours in the office. Trained in STOTT PILATES® Mat & Reformer she is thrilled to now help others push themselves out of their comfort zones and understand the groundwork of proper body movement in daily life.
Mary is trained in STOTT PILATES Intensive Reformer. She has many years of experience instructing Pilates group classes and private client sessions focused on proper alignment and technique while utilizing enhanced Pilates approach focused on improving biomechanics, rehabilitation and athletic performance enhancement.
